My Bio
I'm a (currently) unpublished author from Canada. I've been writing since I was very young, and have been making up stories for as long as I can remember. I finished my first full novel a few years ago, but I have to admit I'm not very proud of it. I don't know, but it just doesn't seem right. Oh, well. I guess it's one of those "learning experiences". I love reading and writing! That's practically all you'll find me doing. I personally love all types of books (pretty much), especially classical literature. I love the poetic way they wrote back then and the unique way of writing that always makes me wish I could write something like that. Most of my ideas actually come from the many weird/strange dreams I get about every 2 days. They're interesting, that's for sure, but they always manage to spark an idea that get's me going. I mostly write fantasy, historical fiction and mystery/thrillers. I love taking bits from history and making them into my own ideas and just creating a new story. Fantasy is so much fun, because I get to make up my own world and I'm not bounded by the technology or historical time-line that historical fiction gives me. And mystery/thrillers are just a little hobby of mine. I love scaring people, having red-herrings and creating a slight shock when I turn the story the other way around.

I'm currently in the midst of my new novella "Victim of the Labyrinth", some little tidbits of it are/will be posted here if you want to check them out. It's more so a twist of a classical mythology story. I personally love the idea and plot I've got in my head, and I'm having a lot of fun writing and experimenting with it.

I love getting advice and constructive criticism, because they're such a big help. They allow me grow and improve as a writer. So, feel free to post some comments on what you think of my writing. I strongly believe reading helps you to grow as well. It's like learning through observation. Kinda like what you did as a child like walking, talking (more so learning through listening), how to do certain things, etc. Like I mention before, I really love the feel and sound of classical literature so if you have any books you want recommend (whether they are of the classical literature variety or any other genres) feel free to do so!

Long time

0 min read
It has been a looooong time since I've bothered to write a journal here on deviantart, however my blog has been flooded with my ranting posts for the past few months. I almost feel like I'm depriving people of the somewhat insane me! What a shame... *tsk*tsk* If you haven't seen my blog, here's a little update: I've been really, really sick since September 2011 and I've been doing my best to keep up with school (I've missed around half my classes), get better and maintain a level of emotional stability. The unfortunate thing is the doctors don't even know what's wrong with me. Almost all of the tests they've done have conflicted with each ot

Banff

Having a good week? I'm having an even better one! I totally got to take a week off so I could head to Banff and snowboard all week! :D YES! So far, so good. I have maimed myself yet, which makes this a successful trip. I took some lessons (2nd time out)  today so I can actually snowboard on my toes, which was really hard for me. A couple of good, solid falls to rattle my brain (Thank goodness for that helmet!) and a few bruises here and there, but it is so worth it. I may have to go to bed super early, since I am drained of all energy. If y'all need a place to go during winter (especially if you live somewhere warm) try Banff. It's so beau

Death's Odes

0 min read
Well, I guess I've been either feeling a little morbid lately, or maybe I was supposed to be born during medieval times when Death literature (I forget the official name) went wild. Anyway, so I was in Biology today and I was working on a project having to due with Anorexia Nervosa. Either way, I had the odd desire to write a second ode in a shakespearean-ish (check out "Ode to Denae"). It took a weird turn when I decided to write it from Death's perspective. I'm not a poet. I know that. I suck at writing poetry and I usually don't like reading it either (sorry to all you poets out there. Personal opinion). I actually kinda like this style.

Hey. I run a magazine called Surreal Grotesque if you are interested. We run strange, weird, gross, bizarre, freaky art and writing. We are always on the lookout for contributors. If you have something that you think will fit, send it over to dangrn77@hotmail.com. Check out the mag at www.surrealgrotesque.com and like us at facebook.com/TheSurrealGrotesque.
Sanity is overrated.
sry to say this here but I love your signature. THAT has always been a motto of mine! It's worded a little differently than how I say it but I love to see someone with similar thoughts as mine anyway! "It's your flaws that make you perfect and sometimes perfection is the greatest flaw."
thanks for the watch!
Haha, no worries! Love, love, love all your makeup looks! :D
Welcome to the club. I dub thee my second Canadian. ^^"
Haha, thanks! I will carry that title proudly. ;)
'Tis a proud title to bear!

Btw, sorry I posted such a long comment on the other thing. >.>
